What can I say?  Fall is inspiring me!  Fall weddings...ahh...  I think if I could pick any time of the year to get married, it would be in the fall.  It's just so romantic with the leaves falling and the gorgeous, rich fall sunsets.  LOVE.  So...I created three fall inspired wedding storyboards.  All three storyboards use the same bride and groom wardrobes as inspiration - but they each have totally unique looks.  I love the fact that you don't have to use pumpkins and leaves in your decor to have a fall themed wedding - here I used the color orange as my inspiration in all three storyboards - yet one is more rustic and casual, one is more classic and elegant, and one is a good mixture - sweet yet sophisticated.  Which would you pick?  Would love to hear your thoughts on these wedding inspirations!  **Note: none of the

Well it's that time of year again!  Time for pumpkins, and hot chocolate, and leather boots, and warm fuzzy hats!  There is a chill in the air!  And what does fall bring?....family portrait time!!  If you are looking for portraits for Christmas cards, now is the perfect time!  The leaves are starting to turn and it is just gorgeous outside!  Of course there are many traditional "Christmas" outfits you could wear, but I suggest embracing this fall's jewel tone fashion and going to town!  These colors are just gorgeous together!  I created these outfit suggestions for an upcoming client, but thought I would share them here since I love them so much!  Enjoy!  (and call me soon if you want to book a session in time for sending out Christmas cards or giving portraits as gifts - really...not trying to pressure you...but time is running out!)  Love, S

I think my wedding would look something like this...vintage, eclectic, a little country, colorful and yet romantic all at the same time....totally me!  Just a little daydreaming on a Sunday night...sometimes I wish I could be a wedding photographer/planner/florist all in one...I just LOVE all of the little details that go into a wedding.  Picking a color scheme and just making everything "go" and flow and represent you and who you are as a couple.  Ahh...weddings...they just make me smile!

Neborns and babies are some of my absloute favorite to photograph! I perfer to photograph newborns (and younger babies) in just their fresh new skin as clothing tends to distract from all of their perfect little details! However, I ADORE hats on newborns! I have a bunch I will bring with me to the session, however I always recommend finding some that fit you and your style. Below I have shown a few examples of hats as well as other examples of what newborns and babies should wear! All products (and images) are from http://www.etsy.com/ which is a GREAT resource for finding fun and unique homemade acceccories (for every age, not just babies) If you are interested in products similiar to the below for your session with BerryTree Photography, just let me know and I can point you in the direction of a few great sellers!

Catching up on my 79 e-mails, catching up on laundry (ugh), and catching up on my blog! Sorry I haven't been around...I've been a bad blogger I know! I figured I at least need to give you some clothing inspiration since it IS What to Wear Wednesday! I'll be back soon with some pictures...I promise!

I've seen this idea on a few photography blogs and I LOVE it! So...I'm stealing (err...borrowing..) it and I am going to *try* to post What to Wear ideas/suggestions each Wednesday. Your family's wardrobe can really help to spice up your photos if done properly. Personally, I prefer that families coordinate and "go" with each other rather than wear matchy matchy outfits. I've created two mock-ups below. You will see that one family can have a variety of looks depending on their wardrobe choices. All outfits below can be purchased from GAP but they are merely suggestions. Stay tuned for next weeks What to Wear installment where we will feature a different store and a different family.
