Torie is a pastry chef and likes the “different and unique” but is still a southern girl at heart! So we decided to split her bridal portrait session into two parts. Part 1 at an art gallery in downtown Roswell (Muse & Co. | Fine Art http://www.musecofineart.com/), and Part 2 at an old southern plantation home (Bulloch Hall http://www.bullochhall.org/)! The results were gorgeous! Enjoy!

Brittni and Joby just moved here from AZ and decided it was the perfect time to get some much needed pictures of the two of them in their new environment! They wanted GA woods and nature…and we found it here at Sope Creek! This was an unbelievably fun shoot hiking through the woods and hunting for the best locations! It was great working with you two…be of luck in your Georgia adventures!
Wow! I got so crazy there for a while that I forgot that I never shared the images from the sessions at the Braves stadium! These images will be used by the Braves in both online and print marketing materials – how cool! Here’s pictures from my family session…aren’t they just adorable? Pictures of the engagement session to come!
First of all…let me start by saying how incredibly humbled I am! I (me! BerryTree Photography!) have been asked by The Atlanta Braves and Turner Field to shoot some promo images for them! How cool would it be to have pictures of you and your loved ones taken at the field? Awesome right?! Well…Turner Field thinks so too and is starting a campaign to let more people know that this is an option (you can even get married there!) So…they’ve asked me to take some pictures that they can use in their promotional materials both online and in print.
Here’s where you come in! We’ll be doing two shoots. An engagement session and a family session – and I need models! Please see below for details and if you meet the criteria and are interested, please let my know via an e-mail titled “Braves” sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by THIS Friday, February 11th. Also…please make sure to include a picture of you and those that will be photographed. We’ll be choosing the models this weekend and doing the shoots next week at Turner Field (the week of the 14th).
What I need:
- a couple in their mid 20s-early 30s (currently engaged or recently married preferred)
- a family with 2-3 kids – at least 1 boy and 1 girl
- wardrobe will need to be approved by myself and Turner Field but it should be something similar to the looks below
(we can discuss specifics if you are the models chosen)
- available between 5:30-7:30 weeknights during the week of February 14th
What you will get:
- 10 digital low resolution images from your session to be able to share online with family and friends
4×6 prints of each of the 10 images
- the ability to purchase the high resolution files or additional prints at a discounted price
- the opportunity to be featured on the Atlanta Braves website and in marketing materials!
**We will take pictures in outfits similar to the below as well as Atlanta Braves gear that will be supplied by the stadium.
Last night I was watching “19 Kids and Counting”. I know that many people can’t stand that show and think that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are crazy for having so many children. Well, I admire them. In a world today where so many choose to find the best way to fit in they have chosen to stick out, to be different, and to trust that God will provide for them. While yes, 19 kids might be a bit extreme for most, they understand that children are a blessing from God – a true gift to be cherished! That’s why I LOVE photographing families so much. Capturing the interaction and love between families feeds my soul. So…what is this post about you might ask? Well…last night on “19 Kids and Counting” Michelle talked a lot about having a servant’s heart that looks for opportunities to serve others. Well…it struck a nerve with me.
While I’ve gone on a few mission trips, served the homeless dinner at shelters numerous times ,etc…I have never really had a chance to give back and serve others with one of the greatest gifts God has given me – my photography. So…I’d like to do just that. If you know of a family that fully embraces this principle, that children are a gift, a blessing, a reward – but might be struggling with hard times and not be able to financially afford custom photography for their family – I would LOVE to hear about them. You know someone. I guarantee it.
I would love to hear about them!
What will they receive:

And since all post on a photography blog should contain pictures! Some of my favorite family photos!
Well…2010 was a pretty amazing year for BerryTree Photography! I officially left my corporate job in August to make BerryTree Photography my full time career and everything has been amazing since then! I got to shoot a wedding in Maine and was also flown out to shoot a wedding in San Diego – how cool that this photography job (that I LOVE) allows me to travel to some amazing places! I’ve had AMAZING clients and really…just a fabulous year! So…I meant to do this in early January…but…the last day of January will have to do! Some of my favorite shots from 2010 (in no particular order)! I hope you enjoy! Sarah
I have some catching up to do on blog posts so you might see a few new sessions posted over the next couple of days! I think the cold and impending snow today made me want to post this session! I took these back in the fall but the flowers and warm hues just make me smile and warm my heart! Plus you can’t help but smile at a sweet couple expecting their first baby! Enjoy!
Ok ok…so I know the title to this post is a bit quirky and weird…but…I promise…what it says is true – Dr. Seuss is smart!
Why? Because of this quote:
“I’m glad we had the times together just to laugh and sing a song, seems like we just got started
and then before you know it, the times we had together were gone.”
You know who else is smart? Yep, my friend Amber – whose gorgeous family is pictured below. (www.amberandersonphotography.com) Why is she smart? Well…she’d probably argue that she’s smart for a lot of reasons (because she is definitely a smart aleck like that!) but…one of the main reasons that she’s smart is because she GETS this quote – wholeheartedly – and embraced it for this session! Amber understands, that the moments we have with our kids are fleeting…they are only going to be this little for a while…and when you blink your eyes, they are magically going to be all grown up! So…she asked me to fly out to visit her in Washington (yep…the state!) and capture some images of her family being just that…a family. A family that loves, and cherishes, and adores one another. We got a second to set aside all of the craziness of life and schedules for a few minutes and just capture the simpleness of pure love. Amber said it best on her own blog…so I’ll leave you with a quote from her – see…told you she is smart!
“I realized that I take photos for other families, but have neglected to have photos of my own family done.
Take those photos. Take as many snapshots of your kids and family as you can. Snapshots might not be prize
winning portraits, but those will be the moments you cherish for life. I will also be making time for sessions
with my own kids. I am hiring a photographer to take new family photos of us ASAP since this isn’t
something I can do myself. I don’t care if I’m not at the weight I want to be at. I don’t care ifI haven’t
had time to update my hairstyle. I want those memories in print. Stop putting it off and capture your family as they are!”
