The Duke Mansion

Built in 1915, The Duke Mansion is an extravagant venue with years of history. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was originally the home of the family of James Duke, one of the most beloved families in North Carolina. Duke Mansion boasts original marble floors, 20 guest rooms, and beautiful gardens.

Alexander Homestead

The Dairy Barn

The Dairy Barn was built in 1947 and has since been renovated for a quite unique and beautiful venue for indoor/outdoor wedding ceremonies & receptions. It can accommodate more than 400 guests. Make sure to check out this unique venue.

I am so so super (like I want to go celebrate with a big bowl of moose tracks ice cream and maybe even a party hat) excited to announce to you that BerryTree Photography is expanding to encompass Greenville, SC, Asheville, NC and Charlotte, NC as part of our wedding collections.  What does this mean?  Weddings in these locations will no longer incur travel fees!  I am currently working on branching out to local vendors and planners in these areas to let them know about my new service offerings, but if you happen to know anyone in these areas that is engaged, I would LOVE if you would pass along the information!  This is such an exciting time for BerryTree Photography…thank you for the ongoing and continued support!!

I don’t often do events other than weddings, but Sarah from Chancey Charm event planning asked me (ever so nicely) to come shoot this over the top 50th birthday party! I LOVE working with Chancey Charm so of course I jumped on the opportunity! I hope you enjoy these few images…I wish I could have stayed for the party…looked like a blast!!

This my friends was one of my favorite engagement sessions of all year! Aram and Hunter trusted me with their photos, we had remarkable, gorgeous light that evening, and Emory University provided the perfect backdrop for some incredible images!! I hope you love these as much as I do!

Izak and Nadia both moved here from South Africa…she in 2000 and he in 2001. Izak is the country mouse, and Nadia the city mouse. When Izak arrived in the US, Nadia was asked to show him around town and the rest is history! I just loved this wedding! Not only did Nadia and Izak create so many of the lovely details themselves (including the STUNNING backdrop to get married in front of) they encorporated a bunch of little South African touches as well including signs with Aafricans, protea (the national flower of South Africa), his mother’s amazing South African dessert, a crazy crowd roaring speech, and a rugby ball to toss the garter! Such a fun wedding that I’ll never forget! Enjoy!

John and Courtney are SUCH a sweet couple and I had a blast shooting with them at one of my favorites…Berry College! They have so much fun together and I loved capturing the sweet (and silly) looks they give each other! Can’t wait to photograph their wedding this year! Enjoy!

I don’t even know where to begin with this post! Erin and I hit it off from the moment we met! Ering, being a photographer her self spent a lot of time researching to find the right photographer for her wedding…and I’m SO glad she found me! Not only did Erin plan and have an amazing wedding, she has become a dear friend to me! Her wedding was amazing…which is evident from the below. I couldn’t even start to choose which images to share with you and I didn’t want you to miss any of the awesome details…so this might be the longest post ever! Aaron and Laura are one of those couples that you meet and instantly fall in love with. They are so in love with either other and their relationship is founded in the love of Jesus…what could be better?! Joy truly radiates from them! Laura wanted to do something special for Aaron…(since a lot of guys don’t love having engagement pictures taken)…so she asked me if we could take them at his alma mater…Auburn University! Of course I said yes! It’s a gorgeous campus and I LOVE shooting any place that is “new”! We had so much fun exploring the campus, drinking amazing lemonade, throwing leaves….enjoy!

I LOVE clients like Aaron and Erin! Besides their adorably cute matching names, they were up for anything! Erin e-mailed me and said they wanted something “different” for their engagement session and that they trusted me and the sky was the limit! I started out by asking about them…what they liked to do, what excited them, etc. One of the things that Erin told me is that they loved to wander around the farmer’s market and cook together. So…an idea was spawned! We met at Madison Produce (the CUTEST little market in downtown Madison, GA) for some shopping and then head to Madison Oaks Inn and Gardens where the amazing innkeeper Cheryl let us take over her gorgeous kitchen! I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do…they sure put a huge smile on my face!

Everett and Nashawn booked me for their wedding a year and a half before their big day. Needless to say…I was so excited when their wedding finally rolled around! These two are full of so much life and are the perfect fit for each other! Their day was gorgeous, but one of my favorite moments was their coreographed dance…it was incredible and they surprised everyone! Enjoy…these ones are fun!
