“Life is like a rainbow. You need both the sun and the rain to make its colors appear.”
Well…we’ve had our share of rain lately! It rained for DAYS straight! On Monday it flooded so badly that it took me 4 hours and 39 minutes to get home. It was a crazy day! We had a short break from rain for a few days and we were able to squeeze in this family session. I thought this quote was fitting, because as much as it’s been raining NON STOP, these photos just scream bright, fun, happy, color, LIFE! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek Carpenter family…you guys are are one beautiful family!

I was so excited that I got to see Mr. Gavin again during a recent visit down to the gulf coast! It was perfect timing as Gavin had just turned one! I just love these images of him…such a “little man” all dressed up in his cute outfits (and yet such a little sweet baby face at the same time!) This was Gavin’s first time to the beach…so fun to be able to capture those memories! Hope you enjoy!

I have been chanting the above quote to myself for a few weeks now! I swear I have the LEAST amount of patience than anyone I know! I get an idea or get excited about something and I have to do it NOW! I’ve always driven my mom crazy with this. There could be a million and one things I SHOULD be doing, but when I get inpiration…I have to drop all of those other “should” things to do the “want” thing! So…needless to say…it’s been driving me crazy to not be able to share these beautiful bridal images! Scarlett and Josh got married on Saturday so I can FINALLY share her Bridal portraits with you! There are so many I love…but here are just a few of my favorites. Stay tuned for some wedding sneak peaks in a few days!
and something a little moody and dramatic just for fun!

Ever heard of this little poem? I of course was born on a wonderful Wednesday…”full of woe”. In fact, both my brothers were born on Wednesdays as well! I guess my mom had her hands full with us! But miss Marissa here was a Friday baby…sounds like she is starting off on a much better foot than I was at birth!
Monday’s Child is fair of face,
Tuesday’s Child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s Child is full of woe,
Thursday’s Child has far to go,
Friday’s Child is loving and giving,
Saturday’s Child works hard for a living,
But the Child that is born on the Sabbath Day,
Is witty and wise and good and gay!
Little Marissa couldn’t have been a better baby. When I arrived she was sleeping sweetly, but by the time I got set up, she was wide awake again. Mom gave her a little more to eat and she was out cold for the next hour and a half! What a perfect little one! We got some great shots including my favorite of her in momma’s hands! So precious! Thanks for having me over to capture your beautiful little one!
